Short Bio

Hello! I'm Lala. I'm originally from the Ukrainian port town of Odessa. I've been living in Brooklyn, New York since the tender age of 13.

I've always been a creative - I've drawn and painted since I was a kid. In college I took every creative class, from charcoal drawing to acrylic painting and photography. Then I discovered graphic design and never looked back. I've worked on both the agency side and client side for more years than I'd like to admit.

My work was awarded for Multilingual Advertising, Service Line-Rehab Services, Service Line-Emergency, and Self Promotion by the Aster Awards. Most recently, due to a corporate merger, I've come full circle, going from my alma mater NYU to working on the creative team at NYU Langone Health (NYULH). In addition to design, my role there involved overseeing the institutional DAM, launching Marq, the NYULH Canva-like branded template platform, and sourcing images for the Newshub section of the website.

I have a particular interest in branding and identity design and content development and have worked on a wide range of freelance projects while growing and evolving in my fulltime job. In design, I value clarity and simplicity, balancing modern and classic esthetic.

When not basking in the glow of a computer screen (ha!), I enjoy getting creative in the kitchen, going for a run, or getting out of New York's urban jungle and finding nature. I'm happiest by the water.
